Mail Order Delivery & Payment Information

During this busy time of year and the volume of traffic we have through our website, we try to send all orders on a next day courier service, but we cannot guarantee this at the moment, so please allow upto 5 working days for your order to arrive. All orders do require a signature, however if you are not in to sign for the parcel and ask for it to be left in a safe place the courier company are happy to leave at your discretion. Please note The Truckle Cheese Co accept no responsibility for lost or stolen parcels if left safe. We can send your order to an alternative address e.g workplace to ensure safe receipt. As we send perishable items we have a 24 hour delivery time with the type of packaging we use to ensure the parcel is received in perfect condition, it is vitally important to us that you do receive your order the next working day, so please choose a delivery day which is best suited for you.

As we are sending a perishable product, it must be delivered within 24 hours of dispatch, so please arrange for somebody to be available at the delivery address on your requested day for delivery to sign for your parcel, or alternatively if you know there will be nobody in to sign, please suggest a safe place for the courier company to leave the parcel at the property. Please note The Truckle Cheese Co cannot accept responsibility for lost or missing parcels if left safe. Details can be given at checkout.

 

APC

We use APC standard next day delivery for most* of our mail order cheese within mainland UK. We can deliver outside of this area but please contact us for the delivery charge. As we are delivering perishable products means we need to ensure the package is delivered next day. Please provide us with the correct delivery address including postcode of the recipient, ideally when they will be in to sign for the delivery. This is not always necessary as we can advise the courier to leave the package in a safe place if nobody is in to sign e.g. with a neighbour/in the porch. These details can be given at checkout.

Incase the courier has difficulties locating the recipients address, please provide us with a contact telephone number so that we can contact you to obtain more details if necessary.

We deliver to any UK home address and/or your place of work. The courier will leave all packages at the main reception of larger companies. (We cannot be held responsible if lost after signature taken from reception desk).

 

Special Instructions

If you have any special instructions, please add them here e.g. where your package can be left in a safe place if you know you will be out when delivery is attempted, if the mail order cheese is for a birthday or special present for somebody a message can be added to the parcel please write your message here or if you would prefer your mail order cheese to be delivered on a certain date (Tuesday – Friday only).

 

Customer Satisfaction

We try our very best to ensure your products are received in good condition. If, however, you find that your product is not in a satisfactory condition, or has been damaged in transit, please ensure you notify us within 24 hours. We may also need you to return the product back to us.

Please ensure the correct delivery information is given when orders are placed, as we cannot be held responsible for missing parcels. Any parcels requested to be left in a safe place is at your own risk, we cannot be held responsible for any parcels left without a signature taken.

 

PayPal

We use PayPal as our shopping cart who operate a secure online payment service and they accept all major debit and credit cards. No credit card details are passed onto us when payment taken through PayPal. We can also accept telephone orders taking payment over the telephone, your call will be taken by one of our sales team in our office, again all major debit and credit cards (except American Express) accepted or you can send a cheque to us with your order details, if you prefer.

*There are restrictions on some postal codes within Mainland UK, please contact us for details of these and generally these parcels will be sent via Royal Mail first class post.
