Yet another family favourite - beautifully cheesey.

Sals favourite Macaroni Cheese with Onion Marmalade

Macaroni Cheese
  1. Add the macaroni to a large pan of salted boiling water and cook until the pasta is just soft and edible. Drain the water from the pasta.

  2. In the mean time to make your cheese sauce add the butter, flour and milk to a deep pan and whisk together, keep whisking until it has thickened, then add our Cheddar (not all of it as you will need some for the topping), along with some freshly milled black pepper to season.  Then Marble in our Onion Marmalade, this gives the sauce a wonderful taste.

  3. Add the drained cooked pasta to the cheese sauce and stir carefully, then place in a heatproof dish and sprinkle on the rest of the cheese.

  4. Place under a grill to let the cheese melt until golden brown.

Serves 4

300g Macaroni
50g Butter
50g Flour
600ml Milk
350g The Truckle Cheese Co Vintage Mature Cheddar Cheese
1 heaped tsp of The Truckle Cheese Co Onion Marmalade
